Last week Samsung anounced the launch of their new smartphone, Jet S8000. The Samsung company claims that the Jet S8000 smartphone is more smarter than other smartphones and they didn't reveal the secret behind that claim. Samsung Jet S8000 smartphone comes equipped with 800MHz Samsung 6410 processor. Samsung announced at CommunicAsia 2009 that the phone will be available by the end of this year.

Samsung Jetphone S8000 has a touchscreen dispaly.Samsung Jet S8000 smartphone comes with features including Motion UI, Media Gate 3D and TouchWiz 2.0 Widget interface. The motion UI technology is samsung's recognition feature that enables the user to access features by tilting, flipping or tapping the phone while Media Gate 3D is a six-sided Cube UI featuring six major multimedia features like Photo Album, Music Player, FM radio, Video Player, Web browser and Games.

Other specifications of the Samsung Jet S8000 smartphone includes 3.1-inch 16M WVGA AMOLED display, 3G , 5.0 megapixel camera that comes with face detection technology,smile shot,geo-tagging, photo editor and Video recording at 30fps with video editor ,WiFi, Bluetooth v2.1, FM radio, Music Player with SRS WOW Sound Effect , A-GPS and an 8GB internal memory. The phone also features a External MicroSD slot that supports up to 16GB.

The new Samsung smartphone measures 4.3 inches x 2.1 inches x 0.47 inches and comes with 1,100mAh Battery that provies a standby time of 422 hours on 2G; 406 hours on 3G and talktime backup of 8.2 hours on 2G; 5 hours on 3G. There is no news regarding the pricing of the smartphone and the phone will take some more months to be launched in india.
